Today’s conversation stunned me when a travel group organizer told me how much she admires my travel photos. She went a step further and suggested that I speak at the following travel group meeting to give an inspiring talk on both travel and photography. For me, both travel and photography inspire the message that ‘we are never too old for dreams to become reality’.
Begin Dreaming Today
- It’s never too late to begin anew.
- Tell yourself, ‘Yes, I Can! ’
Never Too Old for Dreams to Become Reality
Photography has been a hobby of mine since I was ten. My parents said it would be foolish to pay a professional photographer for a family photo, knowing that I could do better. Since artistry is a part of my enjoyment, I take pictures of beautiful scenery, architecture, and adorable animals. The iPhone empowered me and made capturing scenic moments simple and effective.

The offer to speak will combine my ongoing commitment to encouraging and inspiring others to achieve their desires with a discussion of the special moments of travel. I began travelling at age 16, making it my goal to visit 100 countries; not there yet, so I continue forth. The invitation combines several meaningful elements in my life; most importantly, it encourages me to dream big and become the person I have always desired to be.
Meaningful Connections
Most everyone can use companionship and occasional encouragement to continue forth. Seeking out a group that potentially holds similar values and objectives can be rewarding on multiple levels. And upon meeting the right people who mirror our values and priorities, whether singularly or within a group, we are more likely to increase motivation for one another, build upon ideas together, and potentially achieve more than we thought possible.
Seek Out Inspiration and Inspiring People
Ali Anani, Ph. D. via LinkedIn, shares highly inspiring words by Cynthia Goble who will publish her forthcoming book, ‘”Forever A Foster Child- A Memoir of Resilience”: Cynthia wrote in her book “Yet, even in the darkest moments, glimmers of hope emerged—acts of compassion from strangers, fleeting moments of normalcy, and a strength I never knew I had”.
Inspiration can arrive in varying formats, prompting us to improve our efforts and strive for the seemingly impossible. My theory is that nothing is impossible when we put in a concerted effort to prove to ourselves that yes, we can accomplish anything we desire! The turning point is to move away from negativity and not allow anyone to hold us back. Moreover, connecting with the right people can refine our initial ideas and open the door to better times.
Quiet and Private Time
Daily activities through varying media may prompt ideas. However, when concentrating on work, it’s challenging to think through the novel concepts. Weekends and holidays are typically the perfect time to take our ambitions and goals seriously and decide what we want to fix and how to go about it. Next, it’s wise to consider who can help with tasks and introductions, and who will support our ideal outcomes.
Goal Setting Done Backwards
Although most people told me I do everything ‘backwards’, my efforts seemed to work out well. A tone of voice in others changed to ask how I could achieve my goals in record time. Naturally, my reply was that I set goals backwards! The Smooth Sale effort includes establishing an overarching vision and setting long-term goals annually. The next step is to set yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily goals that align with the long-term effort. But the critical factor is to capture goals as they come to mind in the appropriate categories and to set new goals for the following day each evening. It is the strict attention to this method that allows one to achieve far more in a relatively short timespan.
Conclusion: We Are Never Too Old for Dreams to Become Reality
Obviously, we all have down days. However, each evening, as we review the goals in place and remind ourselves how far we have come, we realize that inspiration returns. We feel the motivation to move forward and ultimately prove to ourselves that ‘it is and was possible’ and ‘Yes I can! ’ Moreover, goal-setting became a natural habit to continue, no matter our age, to make new dreams a reality.
